Winter is definitely on its way but that doesn’t mean that you should hibernate under your duvet this May. There are plenty of big events happening in Cape Town that are too good to miss out on.  If you are a lover of trance parties, then you should check out the Spiritual Synaesthesia which is an outdoor two day event on the 3rd and 4th of May. Held at the Wildekrans Wine Estate in Bot River, the trance party promises to be a serious outdoor vibe with guests including Samaveda and Joao Trindade, as well as other local artists.

If you can’t make it to that particular trance party, the following weekend, more beats can be enjoyed at the Organik Love Project Trance Party on the 10th and 11th of May.  Just a 100km from Cape Town, Utopia offers a legendary festival with top local and International DJs. It’s the perfect way to forget about winter and dance the cold away.

If listening to trance beats is not your thing, then the Thirsty Thursday promotion with Limousine Extreme, should be on your party list.  Book a Hummer Limo for you and ten friends during the month of May, and party the night away without worrying about drinking and driving. For just R350 per person you can enjoy royal treatment, with the Hummer waiting at your beck and call. What would a limo experience be without the free champagne on ice! Stop off at popular night clubs such as Eclipse in Claremont, which is the perfect student hot spot and offers R1 shooters on Thursday nights. There’s also Tiger Tiger, which is known for its cheap drink specials and themed parties on student nights.  Check out their Facebook page for more information.

On a smoother note, the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival will be coming to town from the 28th to the 31st of May celebrating its 16th year. The festival features many different bands, from high school to university and communities coming together to entertain. It takes place at the Baxter Theatre and all proceeds from the festival will go to schools and music academies with programmes that benefit at-risk youths in impoverished areas by including them in Cape Town’s rich jazz heritage. Tickets can be bought on Computicket and why not book a sweet ride with us to get there and back in style.

Also don’t forget, it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday the 11th of May. Why not spoil your mom by hiring Limousine Extreme for the day’s transport. For the month of May, if you book a chauffeur-driven stretched limousine, you will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne and flowers. Be sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
